Buttons

 
The Button Settings tab allows the user to set and change the actions assigned to buttons on hardware devices such as handset microphones (e.g. Olympus RM-series or Philips SpeechMike microphones), or foot switches (e.g. Olympus RS-series, Philips, or Infinity pedals).

Actions

1. Actions
The available actions within Lexacom will appear in a list. The buttons assigned to an action may be viewed by clicking the button to expand the view.

First Button menu

2. First Button menu
The First Button menu shows the main button assigned to the action. The device button assigned to the action may be selected from the list of available buttons.
 
Care should be taken to ensure to select the correct button type for the intended device button.

Toggle switch

3. Toggle switch
Some actions may be set to Toggle. If Toggle is switched off, the user must continue to press the button to perform the action (e.g. if toggle is switched off for Play, a user would need to hold the play button on their microphone or footswitch to play the audio). If Toggle is switched on, the user presses the button once to start the action, and again to stop the action (e.g. if toggle is switched on for Record, a user

The Second Button menu shows the main button assigned to the action. The device button assigned to the action may be selected from the list of available buttons.
 
Care should be taken to ensure to select the correct button type for the intended device button.
