Document

 
Some workflow steps allow the user to add a transcribed document to the job. The Transcribed document is held in the Lexacom system with the job media and attachments.
 
The Transcribed document will be visible to other users who can see the job on the current workflow step. The Transcribed document may be visible to users users who can see the job on later workflow steps.
 
Depending on the workflow, the document may be visible to users on later workflow steps. The document may be editable by users on later workflow steps, or may be read only.

Edit the Word document button

1. Edit the Word document button
The Edit the Word document button allows the user to open the transcribed document. If no transcribed document has been created, clicking the button will open a new document.
 
Changes to the document may be saved by using the Save button or Ctrl+S keyboard shortcut. If the document is closed without saving changes, the user will be prompted to confirm whether they wish to save or discard changes:

Author name

2. Author name
The Author (original creator) of the transcribed document will appear in the Transcribed Document panel. The Author value will not change if other users modify the transcribed document (either on the current workflow step, or later workflow steps). This Author may be different to the Author of the job itself.

Created datetime

3. Created datetime
The time and date that the transcribed document was created will appear in the Transcribed Document panel.

Modified datetime

4. Modified datetime
The time and date that the transcribed document was last modified will appear in the Transcribed Document panel. This value will be updated whenever any user amends the document.
