Silence Detection

 
Lexacom and Echo include silence detection to help to prevent users from recording with incorrect device settings or faulty hardware.
 
 
If no recording is detected within the first five seconds of recording, or for one continuous minute whilst recording, the recording will stop and the warning message will appear. If using Echo-only mode, a dialogue box will appear instead.
 
 
If Lexacom cannot hear the user, the common causes might be:
 
Users can restart the recording after receiving the warning message.
